Shipping & delivery

Order with Free Shipping by Odavide – EU only
Shipping is free if your order exceed the following amounts for the following countries:

Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg and The Netherlands:
Free shipping for all orders above €75 (otherwise a shipping charge of € 3,95 is applicable)

Austria, Denmark, France, Ireland, Italy, Monaco, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland* and the United Kingdom*
Free shipping for all orders above €175 (otherwise a shipping charge of € 7,95 is applicable)

Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovenia and Slovakia
Free shipping for all orders above €250 (otherwise a shipping charge of € 12,95 is applicable)

Bulgaria, Croatia, Finland, Greece and Romania
Free shipping for all orders above €300 (otherwise a shipping charge of € 17,95 is applicable)

Prices are based on orders delivered to one (1) address.
Exceptions may be applicable for certain remote locations (like: islands). These exceptions are automatically calculated by Odavide and shown when you enter the delivery address in your order.

*Switzerland and United Kingdom are the only 2 countries outside the EU we ship to. Additional charges my apply as well as import duties.

When will I receive my order

On business days we aim to ship within 24 hours.
Delivery usually takes 1 to 3 business days in Benelux and Germany (rest of EU may take a few more days)

If your order is not delivered on time, you can contact us at: indicating your customer number or order number. Should we not be able to dispatch your order within 30 days of the order confirmation email, you can cancel this order free of charge and a refund will be offered.

For time sensitive events (a birthday), we recommend to place your order early.

Product information

All our products are best stored at a temperature between 15 and 18°C*. Try to avoid (too much) direct sunlight and moisture. We do not recommend storing chocolate in the refrigerator or freezing it. A constant temperature is important, as temperature changes may have a negative impact on the product.

*Only for our specialty product: Ultimate Medjool -10c we recommend storing and consuming at -10c or colder. It’s natures most tasty Ice Cream! This product can only be ordered as a stand-alone product and will never be part of any giftbox/mixed with other dates

Yes and no. We try to avoid this from happening. We ship our products in an extra layer of protection when the temperatures rise. We do not add a cooling agent or insulation. Therefore, we try to keep the product from melting, but can not give you any guarantees. Especially in summer and hot parts of Europe the product may melt. The risk of receiving a melted product is 100% for the Client/ User. Odavide however preserves the right to hold shipment delivery in case outside temperatures exceed 25c and may continue shipping when temperatures decrease, without further consult.

Order information

No, we do not include invoices with shipped items. Your recipient will never receive an invoice. Our invoice will be e-mailed to the person ordering the product only.

Other information

Under dutch law, you have the right to cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving any reason (see exceptions below). After cancellation you have another 14 days to return your order. You will then be credited with the full order amount including shipping costs.
Only the costs for returning the product from your home to us (we are located in the netherlands) are for your own account. These costs are approximately 7.25 (for international returns, the costs may be higher) per package, for the exact rates please consult the website of your chosen carrier.

Any and all our dates and truffles are fresh. In addition, our dates and truffles have a limited shelf life. Due to this limited shelf life and freshness, we never take any of our truffles and/ or dates (filled and non-filled) back. In addition, we observe to very strict hygiene regulations. For hygiene reasons we can also not accept returns of these products.

Nevertheless, it may happen that you have received the wrong item. In that case you should contact us within 2 days after delivery. Odavide reserves the right to limit substitutions.

In case of light damages to chocolate products (such as our truffels and dates) we can not reimburse any costs. Because we deal with traditional and handmade products, damage during the shipping process may occur. However, we take all possible precautions to protect and package the products as well as possible, so that the product can be received in the correct condition.

Odavide is not responsible for failed deliveries when:
– an incorrect or outdated address has been provided
– the recipient is not available to accept the product

As our products are handmade and the dates are a product of nature, the look and feel might slightly differ from the pictures on our website. You can however always expect top quality products.

Starting from 100 boxes we can insert a custom made and designed card. Starting from 200 boxes we can add a custom made sleeve, designed to your liking (within our corporate available options).
